The connection between Binance and Pi Network gained traction after prominent Pi Network Pioneers highlighted over 294,000 PI transactions processed on Stellar in a span of days. Given that Pi Network leverages the Stellar Consensus Protocol (SCP), the speculation is not unfounded. Unlike traditional Proof-of-Work (PoW) or Proof-of-Stake (PoS) mechanisms, Pi uses trust-based “security circles” to validate transactions, aligning it with Stellar’s efficient consensus model.

Pi Network Mainnet Activation: A Prelude to Listing?

Pi Network recently activated its mainnet wallets for KYC-verified users, a crucial step in making PI tradable and exchange-compatible. This development has fueled further speculation about a potential Binance listing. Notably, when PI initially launched in February 2025, Binance held a community vote to list the token, but ultimately did not proceed despite strong support from users.

Market Reaction and Road Ahead

Despite the speculation, there is no official confirmation from Binance or Pi Network regarding a listing. The PI token has seen volatile price action, dropping to an all-time low last month after reaching a peak of $2.99 in February. The altcoin has also faced backlash over its latest roadmap announcement and ongoing KYC challenges. Until more concrete evidence emerges, the rumors surrounding Binance’s involvement with Pi Network remain speculative.
