From Bitcoin price swings to major moves in blockchain, DeFi, NFTs, Web3, and crypto regulation — here’s everything making headlines in the crypto world today.

Texas Approves State-Managed Bitcoin Reserve

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has signed Senate Bill 21 (SB21), officially authorizing the Texas Strategic Bitcoin Reserve — a state-managed fund that will hold Bitcoin as part of Texas’ long-term financial strategy. The fund operates outside of the state treasury and only includes assets with a market cap over $500 billion — currently just Bitcoin (BTC $100,771). It will be administered by the Texas Comptroller and advised by a team of three crypto investment experts. The reserve is positioned as a hedge against inflation and a financial resilience tool.

Samson Mow Seeks Bitcoin Adoption Across Europe

Jan3 founder Samson Mow is aiming to kickstart Bitcoin nation-state adoption in Europe. Following a meeting at BTC Prague with French MEP Sarah Knafo, Mow was invited to France to explore developing a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and crafting pro-Bitcoin regulations. Knafo echoed Mow’s sentiment, saying, “France must take hold of these issues.”

Nakamoto Holdings Raises $51.5M for BTC Accumulation

Nakamoto Holdings, led by Trump crypto adviser David Bailey, secured $51.5 million in new funding via a PIPE deal. The funds, raised in under 72 hours, will fuel the company’s aggressive Bitcoin accumulation strategy. “Investor demand is incredibly strong,” Bailey said. Total funding for merger partner KindlyMD now exceeds $763 million including convertible notes.
