Bitget now supports up to five default CFD sub-accounts under one main account. Each sub-account can support a separate MT5 trading strategy, including automated trading models. Centralized monitoring and account-specific risk alerts give professional traders greater control over complex setups.

Bitget has rolled out a new CFD sub-account feature aimed at professional traders, proprietary trading firms and high-net-worth users managing multiple strategies. The update allows traders to operate several MT5 accounts under one primary Bitget account, creating separate environments for different approaches while keeping oversight centralized.

The move adds another layer of portfolio management to Bitget’s expanding CFD offering, particularly for users relying on automated systems, Expert Advisors (EAs) or strategy-based trading setups.

Bitget CFD Sub-Accounts Support Multi-Strategy Trading

Under the new system, users can create up to five CFD sub-accounts by default, with each receiving its own MT5 ID. Traders can dedicate individual accounts to specific strategies rather than combining multiple approaches within one trading environment.

That separation could make it easier to monitor positions, manage margins and identify performance across strategies. Bitget also says execution and positions are distributed between the relevant accounts, helping users maintain distinct trading setups.

For traders using automated models, the feature may also reduce the operational complexity of running several systems simultaneously.

One Dashboard for Account and Risk Management

Although the strategies remain separated, control stays with the primary account. Users can monitor equity and margin ratios across their accounts from a centralized dashboard and review order activity linked to their sub-accounts.

The main account also handles password administration. Users can reset both trading and read-only passwords for individual MT5 sub-accounts without having to manage each account independently.

Another notable feature is the treatment of compliance and risk controls. Sub-accounts inherit the main account’s KYC status and risk-control settings, meaning users do not need to complete separate verification for every account.

Risk notifications, however, remain account-specific. Margin calls and liquidation warnings can be sent to the relevant sub-account through email or in-app alerts.

Gracy Chen Highlights Professional Trading Needs

Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said professional traders frequently operate several strategies at once, which can make account management increasingly complicated.

She said the new sub-account structure is intended to separate those strategies while preserving centralized oversight. The feature is part of Bitget’s broader effort to expand its CFD platform without adding unnecessary operational steps for experienced traders.

The launch also fits into Bitget’s Universal Exchange strategy, which uses multiple MT5 environments while keeping account administration under a primary account.

Bitget’s CFD sub-accounts could appeal most to traders who need clear separation between strategies without opening and managing entirely independent accounts. The combination of individual MT5 environments, centralized monitoring and account-level risk alerts provides a more structured framework for complex trading operations.

Still, the feature is primarily designed for sophisticated users rather than casual traders. Its value will ultimately depend on how effectively traders use the separation to control risk and evaluate individual strategies.
