- Spot HBAR ETF has surpassed $105 million in cumulative inflows, but recent institutional demand remains weak.
- Whale accumulation has increased as HBAR holds a crucial long-term support level.
- A move above $0.076 could strengthen the bullish case, while losing $0.065 may trigger further downside.
Canary Capital is once again promoting its Spot HBAR ETF, arguing that Hedera could play a major role in the expanding real-world asset (RWA) tokenization market. While the asset manager believes its Nasdaq-listed ETF offers U.S. investors a simple way to gain exposure to the sector, investor demand has remained limited, raising questions about whether institutional interest will improve in the months ahead.
The renewed campaign comes as Hedera continues to position itself as a blockchain built for enterprise adoption and tokenized real-world assets. However, recent ETF flows and HBAR’s price performance suggest that market enthusiasm has yet to match the long-term narrative.
Spot HBAR ETF Sees Limited Institutional Inflows
Canary Capital launched its Spot HBAR ETF in October last year, making it the first and still the only spot HBAR exchange-traded fund available in the United States.
Although the fund recently surpassed $100 million in cumulative net inflows, momentum has slowed considerably. Total cumulative inflows currently stand at approximately $105.3 million, but activity has been sporadic. June recorded only two days of positive inflows, while July delivered just four sessions with new investments. For the remainder of both months, institutional demand was effectively absent.
The muted ETF activity highlights a cautious approach from large investors despite growing discussion around blockchain-based tokenization.
HBAR Price Struggles as ETF Interest Fades

Weak ETF demand has done little to support HBAR’s market price. Over the past two months, the cryptocurrency has fallen nearly 40%, dropping from around $0.11 to roughly $0.06.
Even with the correction, HBAR has managed to remain above the important $0.065 support level that has held throughout much of 2026. Maintaining this zone could prove critical for determining the token’s next major move.

Whale Accumulation Offers Bullish Signal
While institutional participation has remained subdued, on-chain data suggests larger holders have started accumulating HBAR during the recent decline.
Growing whale activity indicates that some investors view current prices as an attractive long-term entry point. At the same time, the price chart is forming what appears to be a potential double-bottom pattern, a technical setup often associated with trend reversals.
For bullish confirmation, HBAR would need to break decisively above the $0.076 resistance level. If that occurs, the next upside target sits near the 200-day moving average around $0.08.

However, optimism could quickly fade if the token loses support around $0.065, which would invalidate the bullish setup and increase the risk of additional downside.

Canary Capital continues to position its Spot HBAR ETF as a gateway to the growing RWA tokenization market, but investor participation has yet to reflect that vision. While institutional inflows remain inconsistent, whale accumulation and improving technical signals suggest some market participants are preparing for a potential recovery. Whether renewed buying follows will likely determine if HBAR can capitalize on the broader real-world asset narrative in the second half of the year.
