- SUI lost the $0.80 level after a 45% rally, with $0.72 emerging as an important support area.
- XRP has pulled back 7% from $1.50 despite a major 231 million XRP exchange withdrawal.
- XRP ETF inflows above $28 million could provide support, but both tokens still need stronger confirmation before another major rally.
Recent weakness in SUI and XRP price action has put two of the crypto market’s notable rallies under scrutiny. Both tokens posted strong gains last week, but subsequent selling has raised questions about whether the moves can continue or are heading into deeper corrections.
SUI climbed about 45% in less than three days, approaching the psychologically important $1 level before sellers took control. XRP, meanwhile, gained 53% over the week and closed around $1.50, only to retreat 7% this week.
SUI Price Struggles to Hold $0.80
SUI’s rally initially pushed the token above the $0.80 area, which had previously acted as an important barrier. However, buyers failed to maintain that breakout, leaving the cryptocurrency vulnerable to additional selling.

The loss of the $0.80 level is significant because it suggests short-term sentiment has weakened. The broader daily market structure also remains bearish, despite some indicators offering reasons for caution rather than outright pessimism.
SUI was still trading above its 50-day moving average near $0.72, while the Chaikin Money Flow indicator remained positive at approximately +0.05. Those readings indicate that buying interest had not completely disappeared.
A further concern is Phantom’s planned end of Sui Network support on September 24, a development that may have weighed on sentiment.
XRP Whales Add to the Market Debate
XRP faces a different setup. Its 7% weekly decline stands out because several other major cryptocurrencies, including Solana, have posted gains during the same period.

Whale activity has added another layer to the debate. CryptoQuant data showed 231 million XRP moved from Binance to another address in a single transaction, marking the largest such withdrawal in six months.
The transfer could indicate accumulation, but the timing has also prompted speculation about other motives. XRP’s rejection around $1.50 makes the whale movement particularly important as traders assess whether the token can regain momentum.
ETF Inflows Could Support XRP Recovery
Institutional demand provides a more constructive signal for XRP. SoSoValue data showed XRP ETFs recorded more than $28 million in net inflows on August 26, the strongest daily inflow since early 2026.
The combination of large XRP withdrawals from Binance and rising ETF demand suggests buying interest remains present despite the recent decline. However, it does not guarantee an immediate recovery.

For SUI, traders are watching the $0.70-$0.75 area, where the shorter-term chart has shown a bullish reaction. A Bitcoin rebound above $80,000 could also improve conditions for SUI.
Both tokens now face important tests. SUI needs renewed buying pressure to reclaim $0.80 and eventually challenge $1, while XRP must overcome the $1.50 area to confirm stronger upside momentum.

For now, the charts offer mixed signals rather than a clear trend reversal. Traders may therefore treat any bounce cautiously until stronger confirmation emerges.
