As the Shiba Inu ecosystem prepares for the launch of its highly anticipated reward token, TREAT, the announcement of its listing on major exchanges has sparked debate within the community. Leading exchange KuCoin, along with Gate.io and Bitget, revealed that TREAT will be available for trading starting January 14 at 11:00 a.m. (UTC). To further amplify excitement, the Shiba Inu team is also hosting a promotional event, offering TREAT airdrops to users of these platforms.
While the listing was welcomed by many, a growing concern surfaced regarding the prioritization of TREAT over BONE, Shiba Inu’s governance token and the gas token for Shibarium. Some community members expressed frustration, feeling that the team was neglecting BONE’s potential in favor of TREAT’s debut.
Pseudonymous community member Jon Snow voiced this dissatisfaction, urging the team to apply the same level of commitment to BONE’s integration and listing on major platforms as it did with TREAT. The debate sparked further division, with user DankDollar arguing that TREAT’s success hinges on BONE’s role within Shiba Inu’s ecosystem.
In response, Shiba Inu lead developer, Kusama, reassured the community of the team’s dedication to every facet of the project. Addressing concerns, Kusama emphasized that the ecosystem would not overlook any part, including BONE. “I won’t forget any part of the ecosystem,” he stated, dismissing the notion of prioritizing one token over another.
Kusama also confronted misinformation circulating about BONE’s mintability, particularly a claim suggesting that the token’s supply could be increased. Rejecting this as FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt), Kusama clarified that BONE’s contract had been renounced in 2023, preventing any further minting of tokens. He stressed that such misinformation was strategically timed to disrupt the Shiba Inu community, and reiterated that the team’s long-term plan remains on track despite these distractions.
This space is overflowing with misinformation and delusion 😂

As the Shiba Inu community gears up for TREAT’s official launch on January 14, attention is expected to shift back to BONE, with the team’s strategic vision continuing to evolve.
