- SHIB holders must verify all links through official sources to avoid scams.
- Shibarium upgrades aim to improve decentralization and developer participation.
- Governance changes and leadership debates continue to shape the SHIB community.
The Shiba Inu team has issued an urgent warning to its community following a surge in wallet-related scams. Fraudsters are exploiting expired Discord invite links to create counterfeit servers, targeting SHIB holders with malicious platforms designed to steal digital assets.
Scammers Targeting SHIB Holders
According to developers, attackers trick users into “verifying” their wallets or granting access to harmful decentralized apps (dApps). Once connected, these platforms can drain entire token balances within minutes. Community watch group Shibarium Trustwatch emphasized that scams often mimic official branding, making it difficult for users to distinguish fake links from legitimate channels.
The team advised users to rely solely on Shiba Inu’s official website, shib.io, for authentic links and to avoid rushing into wallet connections or approving transactions from unverified sources. Recent reports indicate that even Deployer 1 wallets have been compromised, although Shiba Inu developers confirmed no ecosystems are linked to the affected address.
Dear Community,

My official Shiba Inu: Deployer 1 wallet (0xA221af4a429b734Abb1CC53Fbd0c1D0Fa47e1494) was hacked. All recent transactions, including new token launches, are not mine.
Be careful and ignore any activity from this address.
Thanks for your understanding.
Shibarium Upgrade and Developer Focus
Despite these security challenges, Shiba Inu continues to advance its technology. The Shibarium developer hub recently received an update providing clearer guidance for validator nodes and Ethereum Layer-2 integration. These upgrades aim to improve decentralization and encourage more developers to contribute, strengthening the overall network.
Additionally, the ecosystem is preparing for governance changes, including structured elections to appoint DAO council members and a lead visionary. This move aligns with the project’s long-term goal of becoming a fully decentralized “digital network state.”

Community Concerns and Leadership Debates
Not all SHIB holders are satisfied with current leadership. Some have criticized project lead Shytoshi Kusama for perceived lack of transparency and responsiveness. Groups like WoofSwap are calling for a leader who prioritizes community engagement and strategic clarity.
In the meantime, the safety of assets remains the top priority. The Shiba Inu team urges users to verify all links and information through official channels, ensuring they do not fall victim to scams.
