Pi2Day 2025 Challenge Spurs Ecosystem Growth
The launch of the App Studio coincided with the Pi2Day 2025 Ecosystem Challenge, an eight-step initiative that introduced enhanced tools, including Node upgrades and Ecosystem Directory Staking. The challenge attracted more than 2.6 million participants, with 761,000 completing all tasks and earning recognition badges. This surge in engagement highlights the power of gamified, community-driven onboarding.
Over 37 Million Pi Staked to Boost 1,450+ Apps
One of the ecosystem’s most powerful new tools, Ecosystem Directory Staking, saw 37.7 million Pi tokens staked across 1,450+ apps. More than 16,700 unique Pioneers participated, demonstrating strong demand for app utility and token value within the Pi economy. The staking mechanism not only supports app visibility but also incentivizes quality development and user involvement.

Influential community member Woody Lightyear highlighted the need for faster updates, though he also celebrated his own Healthy Life chatbot being featured on the Pi App blog. This dynamic showcases both the challenges and successes of Pi Network’s open ecosystem.
Pi Network’s App Studio is proving that decentralized development can be both accessible and innovative. With over 7,900 dApps live, a global community of eager creators, and a responsive development team, Pi Network is setting a new standard for user-first Web3 platforms.
