Hamster Kombat has unveiled its highly anticipated Layer-2 (L2) blockchain, Hamster Network, marking a major leap in blockchain gaming. Built on The Open Network (TON), this launch establishes Hamster Network as the first L2 solution specifically designed for gaming within the TON ecosystem.

According to an announcement on X (formerly Twitter), Hamster Kombat aims to provide a scalable and cost-efficient infrastructure for decentralized gaming applications. By leveraging TON’s technology, the network seeks to enhance Web3 gaming experiences, offering developers and players an optimized blockchain environment.

Seamless Integration and Enhanced Security

Hamster Network is powered by the TON Virtual Machine, ensuring full compatibility with TON’s existing smart contracts. This integration allows developers to seamlessly migrate their decentralized applications (dApps) without major modifications. Additionally, all proof records generated by the Hamster Network are posted directly to TON’s Layer-1 blockchain, ensuring robust security and decentralization.

The platform is already operational, featuring an integrated wallet, a canonical bridge, and a dedicated decentralized exchange (DEX). Several developers are actively working on new gaming experiences to be hosted on the Hamster Network, further strengthening its position in the Web3 gaming sector.

Community Engagement and Adoption

The announcement follows previous reports hinting at Hamster Kombat’s L2 blockchain plans, which have been met with excitement from both the gaming and crypto communities. Users have expressed optimism about the network’s potential, with one X user, Crynet, humorously stating, “Finally, a blockchain that’s ready to take a run on the gaming track—let’s just hope the hamsters don’t get distracted by shiny objects.”

To stress-test the network before full-scale adoption, Hamster Kombat has introduced the Hamster Boost initiative. This program encourages users to participate in blockchain testing quests, offering bounties and rewards in return.

Telegram’s Growing Role in TON’s Expansion

The launch of Hamster Network aligns with Telegram’s increasing involvement in the TON ecosystem. Recently, Telegram solidified TON as its exclusive crypto infrastructure provider, a move that enhances TON’s credibility and adoption. With nearly one billion Telegram users and seamless Web3 integrations, TON’s ecosystem—now powered by Hamster Network—could become a dominant force in blockchain gaming.
