Charles Hoskinson Shares Optimism for Cardano-Ripple Collaboration, Eyes RLUSD Launch on ADA Blockchain

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson recently provided updates on his discussions with Ripple during an AMA session. His remarks, shared by The Angry Crypto Show on X, have sparked intrigue within the crypto community.

Last month, Hoskinson held a pivotal meeting with Ripple’s leadership, including CEO Brad Garlinghouse and CTO David Schwartz. The talks centered around potential collaborations, including the integration of Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin within the Cardano ecosystem.

RLUSD: Expansion Beyond Ethereum and XRPL

Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin, launched earlier this month, is currently operational on Ethereum and the XRP Ledger (XRPL). Hoskinson revealed that Ripple’s team is still recovering from RLUSD’s intensive launch phase but remains optimistic about expanding to other blockchains.

While Ripple has not disclosed a specific timeline or identified the next blockchains for integration, Hoskinson expressed confidence that RLUSD could debut on additional networks by next year, with Cardano emerging as a potential contender.

Ripple and Midnight: Privacy Meets Innovation

Hoskinson also outlined his vision for Ripple’s involvement in Midnight, a privacy-focused sidechain within the Cardano ecosystem. Ongoing discussions between the Ripple and Midnight teams signal a promising avenue for collaboration.

Moreover, Hoskinson highlighted Cardano’s Marlowe, a domain-specific language for financial contracts, as a potential asset for Ripple. He emphasized that while a formal partnership takes time to develop, these technical discussions mark a crucial first step.

Building Toward a Cardano-Ripple Synergy

The recent engagements suggest growing synergy between Cardano and Ripple, with both teams exploring shared technological advancements. Hoskinson remains optimistic about future collaborations, hinting that further integrations could strengthen the ecosystems of both projects.
