Building on IOTA Just Got Easier: Blast API Intergration Set To Unlock Scalable Infrastructure for dApp Developers

  • New Integration Streamlines dApp Development on IOTA EVM

In a move to empower developers building on the IOTA ecosystem, Blast API has announced the integration of IOTA EVM, the network’s first fully functional Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatible smart contract chain. This integration signifies a significant step forward for IOTA, aiming to become a premier destination for blockchain innovators.

The IOTA Foundation emphasizes that Blast API’s integration provides “powerful and reliable endpoints” for decentralized applications (dApps) built on IOTA. These endpoints act as gateways for dApps to interact with the IOTA EVM, ensuring smooth data exchange and functionality. Blast API offers both free public and dedicated endpoints, catering to developers with varying needs.

Enhanced Accessibility for Developers

Blast API prides itself on offering a robust and scalable node infrastructure for accessing blockchain data. By leveraging a network of third-party nodes, Blast ensures high-performance API endpoints for developers building cross-chain dApps. Their support extends to over 36 blockchains, including industry leaders like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and BNB Smart Chain.

Within the realm of blockchain technology, reliable and fast endpoints are paramount for dApp success. They grant developers constant and seamless access to their applications, fostering a smooth user experience. Blast’s integration empowers developers with “multiple plans tailored to their needs,” guaranteeing sufficient throughput for building and scaling dApps. Notably, the free plan itself offers a generous 76 endpoints with a capacity of 40 API calls per endpoint per second.

Advanced Features for Power Users

Paid Blast API plans unlock additional functionalities for developers. These include archive nodes, which provide a comprehensive record of all IOTA transactions from the network’s inception. This historical data can be invaluable for building robust and data-driven dApps.

The IOTA Foundation underlines the significance of this integration, stating that it aligns with their vision of establishing IOTA as a “prime destination for builders, projects, and innovators.” Blast API’s integration fosters accessibility and removes barriers between the traditional and Web3 spaces, ultimately accelerating global crypto adoption.

This development comes on the heels of IOTA EVM’s integration with Pyth Network oracles, a move aimed at enhancing the reliability and accuracy of DeFi data within the IOTA ecosystem. With continuous expansion and feature additions, IOTA EVM positions itself as a compelling platform for developers building the future of decentralized applications.
