Avantis (AVNT), a perpetual DEX backed by Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund and Base, has been on a rollercoaster ride in recent days. The token surged from $1 to $2.4 as traders rotated into perp DEX plays, following hype around CZ-backed Aster (ASTER). But after an explosive rally, profit-taking sent AVNT tumbling more than 30%, leaving investors asking whether bulls can regain control.

Binance Airdrop Sparks Demand

Part of AVNT’s surge was driven by Binance’s decision to airdrop 10 million AVNT—about 1% of the total supply—to its users. The move injected fresh liquidity and widened exposure, helping the token reclaim $2 after its initial drop.

However, the broader perp DEX sector also began cooling after many tokens posted 8x returns from listing, and AVNT was not spared from the correction.

Key Support at $1.5–$1.7

Despite the pullback, analysts point to the $1.5–$1.7 range as a critical “golden zone” of support. The level has attracted leveraged long positions, as shown by liquidation heatmaps, making it a likely price magnet. AVNT’s rebound above $1.7 was also reinforced by new listings on centralized exchanges such as OKX.

This support zone could provide a base for another leg higher, with bulls eyeing $2.1 and potentially $2.5 as the next resistance levels. A successful push to $2.5 would represent a 30% gain from current prices.

What’s Next for AVNT?

For bullish traders, holding the $1.7 level is crucial. A sustained drop below $1.5 would likely trigger further selling and expose AVNT to a retest of the $1 mark. On the flip side, strong appetite in the perp DEX sector and continued exchange support could fuel another push higher.

Avantis remains at a critical juncture. The $1.5–$1.7 zone may define its short-term trajectory, with the potential for bulls to reclaim lost ground if momentum returns. Whether AVNT revisits $2.5 or slides toward $1 will depend on whether buyers can defend this golden support zone.
