- PI remains in a strong long-term bearish trend despite recent gains.
- Technical indicators continue to favor sellers over buyers.
- Breaking above $0.10–$0.125 is crucial for any meaningful recovery.
Pi Network (PI) continues to face intense selling pressure, with the token extending a months-long bearish trend despite several short-lived rallies. While recent protocol improvements and ecosystem developments have generated optimism among supporters, technical indicators suggest that buyers still have significant work to do before a sustained recovery can begin.
After falling nearly 21% over the past two weeks, traders are closely watching whether the latest rebound can reverse the trend or simply provide another opportunity for sellers.
Pi Network Remains Locked in a Long-Term Downtrend
PI has been making lower highs and lower lows since April 2025, reinforcing a bearish market structure across higher timeframes. Earlier recovery attempts, including a rally that approached $0.30 in March 2026, failed to establish lasting bullish momentum.
More recently, PI climbed to around $0.104 on July 19 before quickly reversing. That move cleared liquidity near the psychologically important $0.10 level but failed to attract enough buying interest to push prices higher.
Although the token has gained roughly 7% over the past three days, the broader trend remains negative after setting a new swing low near $0.07.

Technical Indicators Still Favor Sellers
Daily chart indicators continue to paint a cautious picture for Pi Network.
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) remains below the neutral 50 level, signaling that bearish momentum is still dominant. Meanwhile, the On-Balance Volume (OBV) has continued trending lower throughout 2026, indicating weak buying activity despite occasional price rebounds.
The Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) recently recovered from deeply negative territory but has only returned to neutral levels, suggesting that meaningful capital inflows have yet to materialize.
Together, these indicators imply that sellers still maintain control of the market.
Protocol Upgrade Adds Utility but Not Immediate Price Strength
Fundamentally, Pi Network has introduced several ecosystem improvements.
The protocol’s v25 upgrade enhances network stability while adding BN254 cryptography and Poseidon hashing. In addition, developers recently launched a liquidity pool featuring SLICE and Test-Pi, combining an automated market maker with the Pi DEX order book in a testing environment.
While these developments strengthen the project’s infrastructure, they have not yet translated into sustained buying pressure in the market.

On the four-hour chart, PI continues to trade within a bearish structure. Analysts are monitoring the $0.083-$0.085 zone as a critical support area. A successful reclaim of this range could improve short-term sentiment.
Above that, resistance between $0.10 and $0.125 remains the major hurdle. Failure to break and hold above these levels may encourage swing traders to view rallies as selling opportunities rather than the beginning of a new uptrend.
Pi Network‘s latest bounce offers a brief sign of life, but the overall technical picture remains bearish. While recent protocol upgrades and ecosystem expansion demonstrate continued development, price action continues to reflect weak demand.

Unless buyers regain control and reclaim key resistance levels, PI may remain vulnerable to further downside. For now, traders appear more focused on risk management than expecting an immediate trend reversal.
