- ONDO remains bullish but faces major resistance with weak spot buying volume.
- XRP is consolidating as whale transfers and exchange inflows continue to decline.
- Fresh institutional demand will likely determine the next major move for both assets.
Altcoins are sending mixed signals as traders look for the next major move. While Ondo Finance (ONDO) has outperformed much of the market with a strong daily gain, XRP continues to trade within a tight range as whale activity cools. Although both assets are attracting attention, on-chain data suggests investors should remain cautious until stronger buying demand returns.
Ondo Finance Outperforms, but Resistance Remains
Ondo Finance emerged as one of the strongest-performing altcoins after posting a gain of more than 6% in a single day, comfortably beating Bitcoin’s modest advance. The rally comes as Bitcoin still struggles to establish itself above the key $65,000 resistance area, allowing some altcoins to temporarily outperform.
From a technical perspective, ONDO continues to hold a bullish bias after breaking above a long-standing descending triangle earlier this month. Momentum indicators remain positive, with the MACD staying above the zero line, suggesting buyers still have control in the short term.
However, the rally lacks one important ingredient—strong volume. On-Balance Volume (OBV) has remained largely unchanged in recent weeks, indicating that buying pressure has not accelerated alongside price. Trading activity also remains below the levels seen during May’s rally.
Whale Transfers Raise Questions for ONDO
On-chain data paints a more cautious picture. A transfer of approximately 8.1 million ONDO tokens, valued at around $1.66 million, to Coinbase has sparked speculation that some holders may be preparing to sell.
Meanwhile, CryptoQuant’s spot taker CVD continues to favor sellers, showing that aggressive selling pressure still outweighs buying demand in the spot market.
There is one encouraging sign. Derivatives traders remain active, with Open Interest rising by roughly 16% over the past 24 hours, suggesting speculative interest remains elevated and could support short-term volatility.

Even so, analysts continue to view the $0.413 to $0.470 range as a significant resistance zone. A decisive move above that area would strengthen the long-term bullish outlook.
XRP Enters a Waiting Game as Whale Activity Slows
Unlike ONDO, XRP’s biggest story is the absence of whale participation.
Recent CryptoQuant data shows that large Binance transfers have dropped sharply across nearly every transaction size. Both large inflows and large outflows have declined, indicating that major investors are neither aggressively selling nor accumulating.
Retail transfers remain active, but smaller transactions have historically lacked the capital needed to trigger sustained trends.

Exchange inflows have also fallen to their lowest monthly average on record, pointing to fading selling pressure rather than growing buying demand. This has helped XRP stabilize after a steep decline from its previous cycle high.
XRP recently found strong support near $1.04 before rebounding toward $1.07, forming a higher low that hints at improving market stability.

The next major resistance sits near $1.12. A successful breakout could open the door to another move toward $1.16. Failure to reclaim that level, however, may lead to another test of support around $1.044.
For ONDO, the technical picture remains constructive, but weak spot demand limits confidence in a sustained breakout.

Both ONDO and XRP are at important turning points, but for different reasons. Ondo Finance continues to benefit from bullish momentum, though limited buying volume and persistent selling pressure suggest caution near resistance. XRP, meanwhile, appears to be entering a consolidation phase as whale activity declines and selling pressure eases. Until institutional participation returns, both assets may struggle to sustain larger breakouts despite improving technical setups.
