Cardano (ADA) may be on the verge of a major rally that could rival XRP’s explosive performance, according to crypto analyst and Crypto Banter host Sheldon the Sniper. Speaking during a recent livestream, Sheldon praised the Cardano community and predicted another “Cardano explosion,” potentially driving ADA to unprecedented levels.
XRP’s 530% Surge Sets the Benchmark
Sheldon’s bullish call draws parallels to XRP’s remarkable price surge over the past year. In November 2024, XRP traded around $0.50, weighed down by the ongoing SEC v. Ripple lawsuit. Following Donald Trump’s re-election and a shake-up in SEC leadership, the token soared to $3.34 by January 2025 — a staggering 568% gain. Last month, XRP hit $3.65 before settling at $3.15, still up over 530% from its pre-election price.

Cardano has also seen gains since the U.S. election but trails XRP’s performance. ADA climbed from $0.35 before the election to a multi-year high of $1.31 in December 2024, marking a 274% increase. However, it has since retraced to $0.78. Sheldon believes a rally mirroring XRP’s could push ADA above $4.60 — a more than 500% jump from current levels — though he stopped short of setting a firm price target.

Beyond market sentiment, Cardano’s ecosystem is seeing major developments that could fuel a price surge. The recent rollout of Midnight on the Cardano blockchain, touted by founder Charles Hoskinson as a transformative upgrade, is expected to boost adoption and utility.
