After six years of development, the Pi Network is set to launch its official mainnet on February 20, 2025. With the long-awaited launch just days away, many Pi miners are eager to sell their Pi Coins and cash in on their mining efforts. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to sell your Pi Coins once the mainnet goes live.
Step 1: Transfer Pi Coins to an Exchange
Once the mainnet is live, the first step is to transfer your Pi Coins from your Pi Network Wallet to a cryptocurrency exchange that supports Pi trading, such as Bitget or OKX. Follow these simple steps:
- Open the Pi Browser and navigate to your Pi Network Wallet.
- Unlock your wallet using your passphrase.
- Select “Pay / Request” in the wallet interface.
- Click “Manually Add Wallet Address” and enter the deposit address from your chosen exchange.
- Visit Bitget (or another supported exchange), go to the deposit section, and find Pi Coin.
- Copy the unique deposit address and paste it into your Pi Wallet.
- Initiate the transfer to move your Pi Coins to the exchange.
Step 2: Sell Pi Coin on an Exchange
Bitget has officially announced that spot trading for Pi will begin on February 20, 2025, at 8:00 AM UTC. Once the market opens:
- Go to the Spot Trading section on Bitget.
- Search for the PI/USDT trading pair.
- Place a sell order to convert your Pi Coins into USDT.
Step 3: Withdraw Your Profits
After selling your Pi Coins, you can withdraw your profits in either cryptocurrency or fiat currency:
- Crypto withdrawal: Transfer your USDT, BTC, or ETH to an external wallet such as Trust Wallet, MetaMask, or a hardware wallet.
- Fiat withdrawal: Use P2P trading to exchange USDT for USD, EUR, INR, or other local currencies and withdraw directly to your bank account.
Who Can’t Sell Pi Coins Yet?
If your Pi Coins are still in the Enclosed Mainnet, you won’t be able to transfer or sell them until you complete KYC verification and migrate your tokens to the open mainnet.
Pi Coin Price Outlook
With Pi Coin already surging to $92 following the mainnet launch announcement, excitement is building. Once major exchanges like Bitget, OKX, and HTX begin trading, market activity is expected to rise significantly.
