Pi Network Releases Node Version 0.5.0 Ahead of Mainnet Launch

Pi Network, the popular cryptocurrency project, has announced the release of Pi Node Version 0.5.0. This significant update is aimed at preparing all nodes for the upcoming transition to the mainnet.

Preparing for the Mainnet

The Pi team highlighted that Testnet2 provides a more compatible and comparable environment to what nodes will experience on the Mainnet blockchain. This update will ensure a smooth transition for node operators when the mainnet goes live.

While nodes can temporarily continue using the current Testnet, it will soon become unavailable. However, the Testnet will remain fully operational for Pioneers and Pi app developers, and no immediate action is required from them.
