In a move that blends politics, fashion, and cryptocurrency, a limited-edition pair of Donald Trump’s Bitcoin-themed sneakers has sparked a frenzy among collectors and supporters alike. Listings for these vibrant orange high-tops, initially sold out within hours of their release, have already appeared on eBay, with some sellers asking for as much as $2,500.
At the time of writing, eBay hosts 12 active listings for the “Bitcoin orange” sneakers. Prices vary significantly, starting from $700 in live auctions, while others are set at a fixed price of $2,500, with some sellers even open to best offers. One listing stands out for its humorous, sky-high asking price of $69,999, though it remains unclear whether any of these listings are legitimate.
The sneakers, released on July 31 through the official Trump Sneakers website, are part of a limited run of just 1,000 pairs. They quickly sold out within three hours of becoming available for pre-order. Notably, the website promises that five pairs will be randomly signed by Trump, giving buyers a 1 in 200 chance of landing a signed edition. Most eBay sellers promise to ship the shoes once they receive them between September and November, though the legitimacy of some listings has been called into question by skeptical buyers.
In addition to the orange high-tops, Trump’s team has released two other variations: orange low-tops and black high-tops, each priced at $299 and still available for pre-order on the Trump Sneakers website. Like the orange high-tops, a small number of these sneakers will also feature Trump’s autograph.

The release of these crypto-themed sneakers is part of a broader trend of Trump-branded merchandise that has emerged following the former President’s surprising shift on cryptocurrency. Once a vocal critic of Bitcoin, Trump has recently embraced digital assets, making pro-crypto policy a key part of his re-election campaign. This pivot was highlighted during the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville on July 25, where Trump promised to establish a “strategic national Bitcoin stockpile” if re-elected, a stark contrast to his previous stance in 2021 when he dismissed Bitcoin as a “scam.”
The hype surrounding these sneakers underscores Trump’s growing influence in the crypto space, as well as the power of his brand to drive consumer interest in niche, politically charged products. Whether these eBay listings are genuine or simply a speculative gamble remains to be seen, but the buzz surrounding Trump’s Bitcoin sneakers is yet another example of how cryptocurrency is permeating mainstream culture.
