VeChain has secured a major partnership with Power Slap, becoming the official title sponsor and cryptocurrency partner of the slap-fighting league. UFC and Power Slap figurehead Dana White confirmed the collaboration alongside VeChain CEO Sunny Lu. The announcement, made through a press release and shared on X, marks a significant step in bridging blockchain technology with digital sports entertainment.

VeChain Power Slap 12: A New Era Begins

As part of the deal, Power Slap events will now prominently feature VeChain branding, starting with “VeChain Power Slap 12: Quinones vs. Bordeaux 2” on March 7, 2025, at Fontainebleau Las Vegas. The event will be streamed for free on Power Slap’s YouTube channel, ensuring global accessibility.

Sunny Lu highlighted the alignment between blockchain’s decentralized ethos and Power Slap’s merit-based structure. “We are incredibly proud to be working with Dana White to launch Power Slap on YouTube, which, like blockchains, has the mantra of ‘Power to the people’ at its core. In Power Slap, everyone has a chance to rise to the top,” said Lu.

VeChain Branding to Dominate Power Slap Events

Under the agreement, VeChain’s name and logo will be featured across Power Slap broadcasts, promotional materials, and athlete kits. This collaboration is expected to extend beyond Power Slap, with UFC and the UFC Foundation also involved in future initiatives.

Dana White has emphasized his commitment to keeping Power Slap a digital-first sport, steering away from traditional TV deals. Speaking to Bloomberg, White stated: “All the things that come with a traditional television deal, I do not like. They want to control the product, they want the commercials. Power Slap was built on the internet.”

Potential Boost for VeChain’s VET Token

The partnership could also positively impact VeChain’s native cryptocurrency, VET. Despite trading at $0.02614, down 13%, the exposure from this deal could drive increased adoption and investment in the token.

Despite initial skepticism, Power Slap has grown rapidly, amassing over 22 million followers across social platforms and generating an impressive 13 billion views. White believes VeChain’s involvement will accelerate this growth further. “Power Slap is a global phenomenon built on the internet. Now with VeChain’s support, we are going to take this sport to another level!” he declared.

VeChain has been active in combat sports since 2022, initially partnering with UFC as its official blockchain partner. The relationship expanded in 2024 with the launch of VeBetter, an initiative aimed at driving blockchain adoption and tokenization. With Power Slap now under its wing, VeChain continues to cement its influence in sports entertainment.
