Pi Network’s Last Chance: KYC & Mainnet Migration Deadline Extended – Don’t Lose Your Pi!

In a significant move to support its global user base, the Pi Core Team has officially extended the Grace Period for Know Your Customer (KYC) verification and Mainnet migration. Originally set to conclude on January 31, 2025, the new deadline has been pushed to February 28, 2025, granting Pioneers additional time to secure their Pi holdings and transition to the Mainnet.

More Time for Pioneers to Secure Their Pi

The Pi Network has consistently emphasized inclusivity and fairness, ensuring that as many users as possible complete their KYC verification and migration. By extending the Grace Period by two months, the network aims to prevent Pioneers from losing their Pi due to missed deadlines. This move aligns with Pi Network’s broader vision of onboarding a vast, decentralized community ahead of its Open Network launch in Q1 2025.

Deadline Extension Does Not Affect Open Network Launch

While the Grace Period has been extended, the Pi Core Team clarified that this does not impact the timeline for the Open Network launch. The Open Network is still set to go live in the first quarter of 2025, with the Grace Period for KYC and migration functioning independently. Pioneers who fail to meet the February 28, 2025 deadline risk forfeiting their Pi balances, with only Pi earned within six months before migration remaining unconverted.

Pi Network Urges Pioneers to Act Swiftly

To ensure a smooth transition, the Pi Core Team has urged all Pioneers to complete their KYC verification and Mainnet migration steps as soon as possible. Users can do so via the Pi mining app by accessing the “Mainnet Checklist” and following the outlined instructions. Additionally, Pioneers are encouraged to claim their place within the Pi Network ecosystem and transfer their balances to the Mainnet.

The extension also serves to bolster the integrity of the Pi Network by preventing unverified Pi from migrating to the Mainnet. This measure is essential to maintaining decentralization and mitigating potential fraudulent activity. As Pi Network progresses toward its Open Network phase, the extended Grace Period offers Pioneers a final opportunity to complete their migration and actively participate in the evolving Pi ecosystem.
