Ripple & Fenasbac Boost Blockchain Innovation In Brazil – 2 Fintechs Funded To Transform Financial Services With XRP Ledger

Ripple, a prominent player in blockchain and cryptocurrency solutions, has significantly broadened its partnership with the National Federation of Associations of Central Bank Servers (Fenasbac) to fast-track the adoption of XRP Ledger technology across Brazil. This enhanced collaboration is set to drive innovation and inclusivity in Brazil’s financial system by leveraging the XRP Ledger network.

Fenasbac’s Next Accelerator Program A Catalyst for Fintech Growth

Fenasbac, which boasts over 50 years of experience in providing financial services to Central Bank employees, has transformed into a leading force in financial innovation. Its Next Accelerator Program stands as Brazil’s most extensive initiative for fintech development, offering startups crucial resources, mentorship, and investment opportunities to propel their growth.

In this new phase of their partnership, Ripple will support two fintech companies selected through Fenasbac’s program. These startups will use XRP Ledger to create scalable blockchain-based solutions spanning various sectors such as asset tokenization, payments, treasury management, and lending. This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of financial systems while promoting broader financial inclusion.

Building on A Strong Foundation

This partnership marks a pivotal advancement in the collaboration between Ripple and Fenasbac, following their previous joint research projects with Polkadot and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. These efforts focused on exploring blockchain interoperability solutions for Brazil’s upcoming digital currency, DREX, in conjunction with the central bank.

Brazil’s dynamic developer community, progressive digital currency policies, and sophisticated payment infrastructure have positioned it as a strategic location for Ripple’s investment. Silvio Pegado, Ripple’s Managing Director for LATAM, expressed enthusiasm about extending the partnership, underscoring Brazil’s supportive environment for technological innovation and blockchain advancements.

Rodrigo Henriques, Innovation Director at Fenasbac, highlighted the organization’s dedication to advancing blockchain technology and its role as a gateway to Brazil’s financial innovation landscape.
