  • VeBetterDAO introduces an Activity Feed and flexible endorsement controls for its 50+ apps.
  • ReCircleRewards now enables users to earn on-chain rewards by verifying eco-friendly travel via receipts.
  • VeChain is integrating with Decent for workplace safety and preparing for the 2026 EU Digital Product Passport registry.

VeChain is accelerating its transition from a supply chain specialist to a comprehensive sustainability ecosystem. This week, the network introduced a series of functional upgrades to VeBetterDAO and launched ReCircleRewards, a new application designed to verify and reward eco-friendly commuting.

Despite these technical milestones, the network’s native token, VET, has faced a difficult month. Amid broader macroeconomic pressures that have wiped billions from the global crypto market cap, VET has struggled to maintain upward momentum, reflecting a temporary disconnect between ecosystem growth and market price.

Enhancing Governance and Transparency

To manage an ecosystem that now hosts over 50 applications and has processed nearly 50 million transactions, VeChain has launched a new Activity Feed for VeBetterDAO. This tool acts as a real-time dashboard, keeping the community informed on proposal status, grant distributions, and app-specific milestones.

The update arrives alongside new “endorsement controls.” Previously, users typically backed a single application by default; now, they can distribute their support across multiple dApps, capped at 49 points per endorser. This shift aims to decentralize influence and ensure that smaller, innovative projects within the DAO receive a fair share of community backing.

ReCircleRewards: Linking Commutes to On-Chain Rewards

A significant addition to the network is ReCircleRewards, a platform focused on validating everyday travel habits. By using an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) process, the app converts physical and digital transportation receipts—ranging from public transit to EV rentals—into standardized, verifiable on-chain records.

The system is built to handle the complexities of global travel data, using duplicate detection and cross-field validation to prevent fraud. For the end user, the blockchain elements are entirely abstracted; they receive rewards for sustainable choices without needing to manage the underlying technical infrastructure.

Enterprise Adoption and Regulatory Alignment

Beyond consumer apps, VeChain is deepening its enterprise roots. The Decent platform recently integrated VeChain ToolChain to secure workplace safety and compliance logs. This ensures that safety inspections and equipment checks are recorded as immutable “audit trails,” replacing easily manipulated paper records.

Looking further ahead, VeChain and Rekord are preparing for the EU Digital Product Passport (DPP). With the European Union expecting a central registry by July 2026, VeChain’s infrastructure is already being positioned as a primary trust layer for manufacturers. While market volatility currently weighs on the VET price—trading near $0.0078 after a period of consolidation—the steady rollout of these industrial and community tools suggests a long-term focus on utility over speculation.
