In January 2025, ONDO’s trading activity peaked at approximately $500 million, vastly surpassing Maker (MKR), which recorded just under $50 million during the same period.
Other RWA tokens, including PAXG, GFI, and DAKS, exhibited significantly lower engagement, with transaction volumes remaining below $25 million. ONDO’s Total Value Locked (TVL) has also surged, reflecting strong investor confidence and solidifying its market dominance. Comparatively, assets like XAUT, BUIDL, and BKN showed minimal activity, struggling to surpass the $5 million mark. This stark contrast underscores ONDO’s growing influence in a relatively subdued market.
Binance’s Acquisition and ONDO’s Price Trajectory
A major development impacting ONDO’s future trajectory is Binance’s strategic accumulation of the token. Recent data reveals that the exchange has acquired 36.03K ONDO, valued at approximately $44.32K. This move signals institutional confidence in ONDO, which could bolster price stability and drive further demand.
At the time of writing, ONDO is trading at $1.23, maintaining crucial support above the $1.14 level, which aligns with the 200-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA). If this support holds, ONDO could see a bullish reversal, potentially retesting previous resistance near $2.15 and setting new price targets around $2.00.
However, a breakdown below the $1.14 support zone could trigger a decline, with the next significant support level resting below $1.00. While Binance’s involvement often attracts both institutional and retail investors, market sentiment will play a key role in determining ONDO’s next move.
