- VeChain’s social login aims to remove onboarding barriers for new Web3 users.
- Kraken’s Hedera integration expands developer access and cross-chain opportunities.
- The crypto sector is increasingly shifting toward utility-driven growth.
Blockchain adoption often hinges on usability, and two recent developments highlight how the industry is moving toward more practical, user-friendly infrastructure. From simplified onboarding to broader exchange integration, both VeChain and Kraken are pushing initiatives aimed at expanding real-world blockchain use.
VeChain Targets Mainstream Adoption With Social Login
VeChain’s latest update introduces social login functionality to its VeWorld wallet, allowing users to sign in with familiar account methods rather than creating a wallet from scratch. By removing the need for seed phrase management and complex key storage, the update aims to reduce friction for newcomers exploring decentralized applications.
The move comes as network activity remains steady. VeChainThor has now surpassed 940,000 deployed smart contracts, with more than 37,000 unique deployer wallets. Builders say this growth suggests continued development momentum even as the platform shifts focus toward accessibility.
Meanwhile, VeBetterDAO has introduced additional governance refinements, including limits on endorsement allocation across decentralized apps. According to VeChain CEO Sunny Lu, the broader crypto sector must prioritize long-term utility over speculation if it wants to sustain growth. He argues that capital flowing into real products and applications will ultimately drive stronger user adoption across Web3.
Market indicators have also turned more constructive for VET, with technical signals showing improving short-term momentum alongside rising trading volume.
Kraken Brings Hedera Tools to a Wider Market
At the same time, Kraken is expanding its ecosystem by integrating Hedera support, including Hedera’s Ethereum-compatible smart contract environment and native token service. The integration allows developers to deploy Solidity contracts, migrate decentralized apps, and issue tokens with predictable fees and reduced smart-contract risk.
Hedera’s growing institutional profile may also help its reach. Its governing council includes major global firms such as FedEx, Google, and IBM, signaling continued corporate interest in enterprise-grade blockchain infrastructure.
Kraken is also broadening its product suite beyond traditional crypto trading. The exchange recently unveiled perpetual futures tied to tokenized versions of major stocks and ETFs, including Apple, Tesla, and Nvidia, offering traders round-the-clock exposure to digitized financial markets.

A Shift Toward Practical Blockchain Utility
Together, these developments reflect a broader industry trend: blockchain projects are focusing less on hype cycles and more on usability, interoperability, and real-world financial tools. Easier onboarding, stronger developer ecosystems, and new trading instruments all point toward a maturing market.
If these efforts continue, the next wave of crypto adoption may be driven not by speculation alone, but by platforms that genuinely simplify how users and businesses interact with blockchain technology.
